I stayed at this hotel from the date 14th February till 16th February. This was booked by my boyfriend as part of our weekend get away for valentines and also his birthday. Upon arrival we was met by Sara and Mohammed who were very accommodating and provided all useful information we may need to know. I spoke with Sara in regards to my boyfriend’s birthday and if any special thing can be done and Sara was able to help me come up with a solution around this. I am grateful for the patience shown by both Sara and Mohammed and you can tell both genuinely enjoy interactions with fellow customers. I would like for their hard-work to be recognised as it’s the small things done by workers that goes a long way in retaining customers and I would be open to returning back in the future.

A great location near Paddington Station makes it very easy to travel around London, especially for anyone using the Heathrow Express. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and quiet, and although they are small—as is normal in London—they are still convenient. The on‑site Bella Italia restaurant is good, and the breakfast buffet is nice, offering cooked options like omelettes. The complimentary drinks and amenities in the room, add a pleasant and thoughtful feel to the stay.

A lovely birthday surprise during my business trip! I stayed here for a quick business trip, and the staff made my birthday feel special with a surprise cake in my room. It was such a nice touch after a long day of meetings! The service was efficient yet very warm. It’s the perfect place to stay if you want professional service with a personal feel. Highly recommended for business travelers in London. Thanks again for the hospitality!

We had a wonderful 5 days vacation at the mercure hotel! Prime location- close to lots of sights by foot or by public transportation. Check in and out went smoothly with a great service by the reception team. Standard room is well designed, comfortable bed, shower and planty of closet room for clothing and suitcases storage. Closet door was a bit jammed but we could still use it. The room is cleaned daily and the refilled mini bar is a nice treat after a long day out. Breakfast is recommended and has all you need to start the day: coffee, eggs, fruits and pastries. Overall we had a great time and would love to come back again!

Check-in was very smooth and the staff were extremely helpful. I was even offered a room upgrade, although unfortunately there was no availability. The team throughout the stay was attentive, friendly, and always willing to assist with anything I needed. The standard rooms are quite small. The doors close loudly and the floors can be a bit creaky. Overall, I wasn’t fully satisfied with the room in terms of space and comfort especially for a business trip though considering the price performance balance, it was acceptable. The breakfast area is lovely, and the hotel partners with an Italian restaurant for the morning service, which is a nice touch. However, during my four-night stay (three breakfasts), I noticed that the restaurant manager seemed quite harsh in her interactions with the staff, which was uncomfortable to observe. In general, I was satisfied with my stay, mainly thanks to the kind and attentive hotel team. However, the standard rooms may not be ideal for business travel.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights and were so impressed with the friendly, professional and helpful staff! Our room was small but very clean and comfortable. You cannot beat the location with loads of restaurants and shops nearby, not to mention Paddington station. We cannot wait to return!

Mercure Hyde Park is truly a gem! The check in experience was seamless & easy. Reception staff are friendly & kind. The room (I had a lovely room on the third floor with a view of the terrace) was spotless & very clean. The team that cleans the rooms are very efficient, with a keen eye to detail. I enjoyed the free drinks in the fridge that were always restocked, with delicious custard creams to boot for afternoon tea after a day out shopping. The hotel is very close to Hyde Park which makes for easy morning runs/walks in a safe & secure environment. As a female solo traveller, I need to highly applaud this hotel as they have a policy for solo travellers to feel even more secure, seen & protected, it’s genius! I look forward to my next stay here in 2026

A little gem. Literally 5 min walk from Paddington, so easy to get to (and leave your luggage after/ before your train). Was upgraded to a family room / superior, so had dressing gown, slippers, bigger bed, free mini bar (that just contained coke, juice, milk and water), Nespresso machine. Room was comfortable and stylish. Bathroom came with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash, and moisturiser, plus little packets of emergency supplies (shaver kit, vanity pack etc.). They also seemed to genuinely follow their environmental/sustainable messaging (recycling bins, little single use plastic, and loved the little glass bottle of milk in the fridge for tea / coffee etc). Only thing was you could hear the humming of the underground, and my room was in the basement, so could hear doors being opened, cleaners doing their jobs in the rooms around me. Breakfast was really good: made to order hot breakfast plus help yourself cold options (yoghurt, cereals, pastries, toast, cold meats etc). Staff were all friendly and professional. Definitely will go back.
